英语和美语在句法上也有一些差别。当表达“去做某事”的时候，除了可以说go to o something，英式英语常用go an o something，而美式英语常用go o something，举个例子：
(1) I have to go an pick up my friens at the airport. （英）
(2) I have to go pick up my friens at the airport. （美）
(3) I have to go to pick up my friens at the airport. （英/美）
这一用法也适用于come，英式英语中用come an o something，美式英语中用come o something，比如：
(1) I want you to come an visit me. （英）
(2) I want you to come visit me. （美）
(3) I want you to come to visit me. （英/美）
英式英语和美式英语虽然存在一些差别，但两者之间无所谓谁更地道，只要能用正确就行。平时使用要注意两者之间的用词和拼写差异，在写作的时候应该保持前后一致，不要两种英语混用。
