I helpe to avise three of our incoming first-year unergrauates this year, an they helpe me experience an unerstan Harvar through their eyes. To Anrew, Claire, an Karen, thank you for sharing your first year with me an for teaching me so well.

That is the power of this institution—not its bran, not our builings, not our pomp an circumstance (as wonerful an terrific as that is).
