51个项目，累计金额2700万元！自新学年开启，宁波诺丁汉大学2022年博士生奖学金项目已经吸引了大量来自各个领域有志于科研的高水平人才。

据悉，在已经公布的全额奖学金中，包括学院奖学金、博士生联合培养奖学金、战略类奖学金及诺丁汉大学卓越灯塔计划（宁波）创新研究院奖学金。 各项奖学金对应的研究课题多达51个，创历史之最。
值得关注的是，今年新增设了奖学金项目—— 诺丁汉大学卓越灯塔计划（宁波）创新研究院奖学金。 该奖学金项目下设七大专题方向，聚焦研究院的智能制造、绿色化工与能源和生命健康三大重点科研领域。举例来说，先进机电能量转换系统将研究创新的电机拓扑结构和接近极限的高功率密度设计；人工智能药物研发项目则旨在建立一个基于人工智能的抗癌药物研发平台……可以看到的是，研究项目均面向未来，聚焦时下科学技术前沿，有着极大的探索空间。
此外，博士生 联合培养奖学金 也是宁波诺丁汉大学的特色。学校与浙江大学、中科院、深圳大学等国内超一流院所联合开展博士培养。以我校与中国科学院城市环境研究所的联培项目为例，该项目包含建筑行业碳中路径研究、微生物电化学有效降解污染物等多达12个研究课题可供选择，且参与研究的博士生可以获得来自宁波诺丁汉大学、中国科学院城市环境研究所和英国诺丁汉大学多方教授的共同倾力指导。
今年的战略类奖学金也同样吸引眼球。纵览目前公布的战略类奖学金，其中数字化是最为高频的词汇。供应链数字化、共享经济中的数字化社会创新、文化遗产数字化保护等等，这些项目都将探索数字化给各个领域带来的变化、机遇和挑战。同时，学校也为战略类奖学金的博士生候选人提供了最强师资支持。以文化遗产数字化保护项目为例，来自宁波诺丁汉大学计算机科学系的教授Dave Towey和国际传播系的助理教授贺龙飞（Thomas Hirzel）将共同指导学生，以期给予学生跨界兼容、文理相通的未来技能。
宁波诺丁汉大学博士生培养已走过十余个年头。从第一届只有12名博士生到去年在校博士生超700名，宁诺的博士教育飞速发展。根据《宁波诺丁汉大学2020/21学年就业质量年度报告》的最新统计数据，博士毕业生受各大院校青睐，75%进入教育行业，在院校担任教学及科研等岗位。在工作地点上，近六成选择留在浙江工作，助力地方高质量发展，四成多选择前往英国剑桥、北京、中国香港等地工作。

Last call! Applications for UNNC’s PhD scholarships is closing soon
The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) has recently announce the 2022 PhD scholarship policy with the aim of recruiting the best PhD caniates from aroun the worl. The scholarship subsiies currently accumulate to up to 27 million RMB.
Among the scholarships that have been announce are the Faculty Scholarships, Doctoral Training Partnership Scholarships, Strategic Scholarships an the Nottingham Ningbo China Beacons of Excellence Research an Innovation Institute Scholarships. All scholarships correspon to a recor high 51 research topics.
Of particular interest this year are the Nottingham Ningbo China Beacons of Excellence Research an Innovation Institute Scholarships. The scholarship project has seven thematic irections, focusing on key scientific research areas of the institute: Intelligent Manufacturing, Green Chemicals an Energy, as well as Life Science an Healthcare. Take the joint training project between UNNC an the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Acaemy (IUE, CAS) of Sciences as an example, which inclues up to 12 research topics to choose from, such as the stuy of carbon-neutral pathways in the construction inustry, an the effective egraation of pollutants by microbial electrochemical systems. Furthermore, participating PhD stuents receive joint guiance from professors at UNNC, IUE, CAS as well as the University of Nottingham in the Unite Kingom.

UNNC has been training PhD stuents for over a ecae. UNNC’s PhD programmes have expane rapily from only 12 PhD stuents in 2008, to over 700 in 2021.
