The Master of Engineering ﹙MEng﹚ egree offere at the University of Winsor is a course work professional program open to stuents who satisfy the amission requirements. The MEng Program takes three to five semesters to complete but is structure in such a way that it may be complete in one year by a full-time stuent. The minimum perio of full-time registration for the MEng egree is three semesters an the maximum allowable time is five semesters. For part-time stuents, the minimum perio of registration for the MEng egree is eight semesters an the maximum allowable time is fifteen consecutive semesters. Practical work-experience placements are available for full-time stuents only, but cannot be guarantee.

﹙a﹚ Three ﹙3﹚ Winsor grauate courses an an equivalent number of ECTS creits in courses in Italy. The total course requirements will be equivalent to the weight of stuy one to complete a Winsor Masters’ egree in Engineering with a thesis ﹙thus making the stuents eligible to continue their stuies at the octoral level﹚.
The Torino stuents will complete 60 ECTS course creits an 3 Winsor grauate courses which makes them eligible for octoral work in Europe when complete in conjunction with their major thesis project.
﹙b﹚ Thesis Project
Each stuent will complete a thesis project in conjunction with the two inustry companies. Thesis co-supervision will be by both Winsor an a Torino faculty member. For the purposes of the University of Winsor egree, the thesis committee will consist of the co-supervisors, an internal program reaer, an an external program reaer. Aitional Committee members may be ae to meet the requirements of the Torino program. The thesis project will be a substantial piece of work representing an avance on the state of the art of a character of that expecte for a Masters egree in Engineering. The Winsor stuents will carry out much of their work in Fiat while they are in Italy an the Torino stuents will work on a project with Chrysler while they are in Canaa. Each stuent in the program will complete a Masters of Applie Science thesis as is customary in the University of Winsor MASc program.
﹙c﹚ The Winsor stuents will each complete either one or two 4-6 month internships uner the Inustrial Research an Development Internship ﹙IRDI﹚ program internship at the ARDC facility uring the spring of their first year. Following that they will travel to Italy where they will o their thesis research at the facilities of Fiat Centro Research in Torino. The Italian stuents will perform their thesis research at the facilities of Chrysler Canaa an potentially at Chrysler Corp. in the US for certain projects.
