纽卡斯尔大学（newcastle university），简称纽大，位于英国英格兰”八大核心城市“之一的纽卡斯尔市，前身为1834年建立的医学与外科学院（school of meicine an surgery）和1871年成立的阿姆斯特朗学院（armstrongcollege），后合并为杜伦联邦大学国王学院（king＇s college, the feeral university of urham），在1963年根据国会法案（act of parliament）与杜伦大学分别成立各自独立的学校，正式全名为“泰恩河畔纽卡斯尔大学” （university of newcastle upon tyne）。
