马来西亚理科大学（universiti sains malaysia, usm），简称“理大”，成立于1969年。马来西亚理科大学是大马建立的第二所国立大学，也是马来西亚五所研究密集型大学之一。
由于大学在可持续发展方面的研究，理大被马来西亚教育部选中成为apex（迈向卓绝计划）大学， 素有“亚洲的花园大学”的美誉。理大拥有主校区（槟岛）、工程校区、医学校区三个校区，占地面积15,000亩，共28个学院及26个研究中心，提供500多个专业领域的硕士和博士学位课程，学校教师多具有美、英、澳、新等世界教育前沿国家的教育和学术研究背景，现有本科生和研究生共33000多人。
