Contemporary Themes in Soun Arts Practice (20 creits) 当代艺术实践中的主题

In Term One you will gain a practical unerstaning of contemporary themes in soun arts practice an explore how they relate to an situate your own practice. At the same time you will begin to evelop a critical unerstaning of the relationship between research an practice in relation to your own work an carry out an applie research project in response to an external organisation or institution.

Spring, Term Two

Unit summary:

Practice-Base Research (continue) 基于实践的研究

Contemporary Themes in Soun Arts Practice (continue) 当代艺术实践

Collaborative Unit (20 creits) 协作单元

Summer, Term Three

Unit summary:

Project Development (20 creits) 项目开发

Curatorial Contexts for Soun Art (20 creits) 声音艺术的策展语境

Major Project (60 creits) 重点项目

In Term Three the taught programme will help you to explore issues aroun the curation, exhibition an perception of soun art in a contemporary context an you will begin work on your Major Project.

Autumn, Term Four

Unit summary:

Major Project (continue) 重点工程

Term Four is evote to the completion an presentation of the Major project in the context of a curate show an symposium.

If you are unable to continue or ecie to exit the course, there are two possible exit awars. A Postgrauate Certificate will be aware on successful completion of the first 60 creits an a Postgrauate Diploma will be aware on successful completion of the first 120 creits.

The course team welcomes applicants from a broa range of backgrouns, from all over the worl.

Applicants to MA Soun Arts will have a goo honours egree in a relevant subject such as soun arts, fine art, film an vieo or other relate fiels, or a professional or acaemic qualification recognise as equivalent to an honours egree.

 

If you o not have the require qualifications, but o have professional experience, you may be eligible to gain creit for previous learning an experience.

We also welcome applications from prospective stuents with a backgroun in fine art or other relate fiels an those who wish to move their practice or research in other areas towars soun art an sonic practices.

Your eucational level may be emonstrate by:

Honours egree (name above);

Possession of equivalent qualifications;

Prior experiential learning, the outcome of which can be emonstrate to be equivalent to formal qualifications otherwise require, emonstrating relevant experience an an aptitue for film, television or other moving-image prouction subjects;

Or a combination of formal qualifications an experiential learning which, taken together, can be emonstrate to be equivalent to formal qualifications otherwise require.
