2018年12月19日，英国政府在议会上年布了新的移民白皮书，其中提到在英毕业的国际留学生（学士、硕士、博士学位）可得到更长的签证时间，留在英国找工作。
相关部分白皮书内容如下：

英国内政大臣萨吉德·贾维德（saji javi）在下议院提出，英国未来将重视以技能为基础的移民制度，取消世界各地高技术移民的上限，并改善国际学生在英国找工作的条件。
什么是psw签证？
psw（post-stuy work）visa，它旨在让拥有本科学士学位、研究生硕士学位、博士学位的国际留学生，在毕业之后，有时间在英国找工作或者开展商业活动。
但是这个签证，曾在2012年4月被现任首相特雷莎·梅取消了（当时梅姨还是内政大臣），在此以前，来英国留学的海外学生在毕业后可以向英国移民局申请时长为2年的psw签证，毕业生不需要任何的担保，拥有该签证的学生在英国没有任何工作限制，也不一定非要找到工作。
新政策对学生的影响
在这份长达166页的白皮书中，宁然老师摘取了其中几点关于学生方面，比较重点的内容：

针对免签英国国家的学生，在新政之后，需获得电子授权才可进入英国。

学士学位、硕士学位在毕业后可得到6个月的签证时间，在英国找工作；博士毕业生将得到一年的时间。
英国将允许读本科或本科以上的学生在课程结束前，把他们的签证转为技术工签（期限3个月），对于已经毕业离开英国的，在2年内，仍可申请此签证。
取消工签数量的上限
允许澳大利亚、加拿大、日本、新西兰、美国、新加坡、韩国的公民在入境英国时与欧盟和英国公民一起入境。（持中国护照入境英国时，还是要走非欧盟通道，大家不要走错了）
新策的执行时间
新的移民与边境政策将在2021年分阶段开始实行，所以今年、明年入学的小伙伴们可以尝试在毕业后申请由由上面提到的3个月期限签证
