有些同学踏上了英国的求学之路，可是有些同学却被签证难住了。为什么明明是按流程办理的英国留学签证却被拒签了？这可能是因为你修读的学科课程需要atas证书！每年都有学生因为没有递交或者没能及时拿到atas证书而被拒签，最终导致留英失败，十分遗憾。

atas证书是来自非欧洲经济区的留学生在报读某些学科课程的研究生时，必须通过的一道附加的审查。atas 是英国反恐战略下加强对外国留学生审查的步骤之一。
申请费用： 申请不收费
审理周期： 正常审理时间为3周，遇到申请旺季会延长申请时间
建议申请时间： 一般开课前3-4个月为宜，因为atas的有效期只有6个月
怎么判断自己是否需要申请呢？

方法一：仔细看看学校offer
一般来说学校所发的offer上都会明确标注是否需要atas认证。
方法二：找准课程分类与代码
如果你攻读的是 非学位课程﹙如语言课程，hn 课程，大学预科课程，硕士预科等﹚，则不需要atas 证书
如果你只是攻读本科学位课程，则不需要atas证书
如果攻读的是教授型硕士课程，且不是欧洲经济区及瑞士的本土学生，而且攻读课程在以下范围内的，需要申请atas证书：
f2– materials science
f3– physics ﹙incluing nuclear physics﹚
h3– mechanical engineering
h4– aerospace engineering
h8– chemical, process an energy engineering
j5– materials technology not otherwise specifie
如果你攻读哲学或者其他学科博士课程、研究式硕士课程、或者6个月以上从事研究的访问学者，且不是欧洲经济区及瑞士的本土学生，而且攻读课程在以下范围内的，需要申请atas证书：

如果你不属于以上任何一个一类，建议在拿到offer时与担保大学联系，确认你的课程是否需要提供atas证书。

申请注意事项
1、申请时填写要读的课程不要有误，错了只能重新申请，不仅仅签证的时候用到，正式上课以后学校也是需要此证书的。
3、jacs coe在注册时如果填写错误，在系统里无法修改，所以一定保证准确性。
4、收到atas证书要及时查看各项信息的准确性，如果是atas的问题弄错了，及时联系atas进行修改，他们会尽快帮你解答；也可联系学校协助，如果是申请的时候信息填写错误，只能重新申请。
5、atas网上申请应在30分钟内完成，信息可以从其它文档上粘贴到网上。
如果当时没有填完申请表，可以保存下次继续。如果需要填一份以上的申请表，网页上有一个选项可以把大部分的基础信息复制过去。
6、如果atas的申请通过，将会在三周之内告知申请结果并发送atas clearance certificate。若三周之内没有收到任何邮件，可再联系。
7、如果你申请的专业在所列表单之内，在签证的时候没有出示atas clearance certificate，那签证将不予考虑。
