IELTS Inicator考试是什么？IELTS Inicator 考试，是由剑桥大学考评部、英国文化教育协会（British Council）及澳大利亚国际开发署（IDP)三大雅思考试官方机构推出，一项新的在线学术考试（仅有A类考试，不提供G类，暂不为移民目的提供服务）。由于COVID-19（新冠肺炎疫情）影响，雅思考试目前暂停，因此学术考试成绩仅在有限的时间内可用，教育机构和院校可以使用“IELTS Inicator”帮助他们评估未来学生的英语能力。
需要声明的一点是，由于IELTS Inicator仅提供指示性评分，因此并非所有院校都接受。在确定选择参加这项考试之前，务必要和申请院校确认可用情况。IELTS Inicator与正常雅思考试一样，设有听力、阅读、写作和口语四大科目。口语与笔试科目（前三科）分开单独进行。每一科的时长分别是：听力30分钟（40题）；阅读60分钟（40题）、写作60分钟（2题）、口语11-14分钟（3题）。
口语考试则是通过ZOOM视频通话的方式，与雅思考官真人一对一对话。由官方认证的雅思考官和评分员来进行打分。与雅思模考相比，IELTS Inicator考试可以提供更准确、更可靠的语言能力测评分数。
IELTS Inicator怎么考？IELTS Inicator考试可以从2020年4月22日起接受预约，预订网址为：http://www.ieltsinicator.com/book参加IELTS Inicator考试前大家需要准备好：1. 与舒适的测试环境；2. 手提电脑或者台式电脑，Mac或者PC均可，但不可以在平板电脑或移动设施上测试；3. 稳定的网络连线；4. 用于播放听力音频时，连接电脑的播放器或者耳机；5. 用于口语测试环节的电脑配套麦克风。
与纸考不同，该线上考试功能的使用体验更贴近于机考。
