Many courses fall into more than one istribution area. However, a single course can never fulfill two Fiel requirements at the same time. For example, AHIS W4155: The Art an Archaeology of Ancient Mesopotamia can fulfill either Ancient or non-Western but never both. Check to see which requirement the courses fulfill.
Please note that 4000 level lectures are "introuctory grauate courses" an are open to avance unergrauate an all grauate stuents, an a limite amount of registere auitors from the School of Professional Stuies, if the instructor permits auitors.
6000 level lectures are open only to grauate stuents. Instructor permission is not require for grauate level lectures. 8000 level courses are grauate seminars for enrolle grauate stuents an all seminars require an application. Grauate stuents in the Department of Art History receive preference for enrollment in grauate seminars an auitors are generally not permitte.
