With this in min, we want to share with you some key ates for the 20-week package visa options that will be relevant to your stuents working towars the March 2021 intake at the University of Melbourne. Please also note that the University of Melbourne is currently recognising results from the TOEFL Home Eition as an alternative to IELTS, PTE an TOEFL results.
20-week package visa
This option is available to all international stuent who have an IELTS (or equivalent in TOEFL or PTE) result that is one ban below the official English requirement for the University of Melbourne, incluing faculties an courses where UMELBP is not an option.
Course ates:
§ Option 1: 27 July 2020 – 18 December 2020 (20 weeks)
This option will inclue stuies in IELTS Preparation an Acaemic English (EAP or IAP)
§ Option 2: 31 August 2020 – 12 February 2021 (21 weeks)
This option will inclue stuies in IELTS Preparation, Acaemic English (EAP or IAP) an General English.
Note that with this option: stuents will nee to inclue another IELTS, TOEFL or PTE result in their overall stuy plan. They can take the test partway through their English stuies to qualify for the 10-week UMELBP or at the en of their English stuies to meet the University’s English requirements irectly.
20-week package visa with irect entry
This option is available to international stuents who have an IELTS (or equivalent in TOEFL or PTE) result of 5.5 with no ban less than 5.0 applying for courses that require an IELTS 6.5 (with no ban less than 6.0).
Course ates:
§ 31 August 2020 to 5 February 2021 (20 weeks)
The enrolment will inclue 10 weeks of UMELBP Prep + 10 weeks of UMELBP.
Note that with this option: the English stuies are recognise by the University of Melbourne as meeting the English requirements. That is:
§ By successfully completing the UMELBP Prep, stuents can progress to the UMELBP course.
§ By successfully completing the UMELBP course, stuents can progress to the University of Melbourne without taking another IELTS, TOEFL or PTE test.
