Acaemics & Curriculum
All stuents will begin the M.S. Health an the Public Interest program in August with the course, Health in Context: the Social Worl of Health an Illness, requiring one month of full-time attenance; other courses nee not be taken sequentially. The program is intene to be complete within one year by full-time stuents an within two years for the part-time stuents.
The program inclues:
Courses in the program will be taught in the late afternoon or evening (for the most part), making the program suitable for part-time enrollment. The iactic structure for a Master of Science Program comprises a 1-year (summer, fall, spring, summer) 30-creit resiential program of core courses an electives requiring avisor approval an a require capstone/internship project.
2020-2021 Curriculum
The Health an the Public Interest (HAPI) program begins with a three-week intensive course that will start on August 3, 2020. This course requires full-time attenance by all stuents for that perio. Stuents will then be enrolle for the Fall an Spring semesters accoring to the regular Georgetown acaemic calenar. In most cases, full-time HAPI stuents will complete their program with a six-week internship or capstone project in Summer 2021.
