Successful applicants for both the Master of Science in Data Science an Certification of Professional Achievement in Data Sciences programs shoul have:

We often have prospective stuents ask about how they shoul meet the require quantitative or computer programming prerequisites if they have not previously complete formal creit-bearing coursework. Many applicants often ask about completing MOOC courses as a means of meeting the prerequisites. While these strategies are encourage, keep in min that the amissions process is competitive. Faculty reviewers will often place more weight on formal coursework (or work experience) over MOOCs. That being sai, MOOCs are routinely use to supplement learning an/or serve as a refresher course for many of our stuents.

In the 2017 intake cycle, the average GPA was 3.69. Our stuents’ transcripts usually inclue As an Bs (only), an we expect stronger graes in more relevant subject matter (see below) from those coming from less selective institutions. Regarless of egree, we require specific an substantial knowlege of certain mathematical competencies, an some training in programming an basic computer science.
To be consiere for the program, you will be require to have complete the following (or equivalents):
· Calculus I: limits, erivatives, series, integrals, etc.
· Linear Algebra
· Intro to Computer Science (or an equivalent “CS-101” programming course): We have no set requirements as regars specific languages, but we generally expect serious acaemic an/or professional experience with Python an R at a minimum.
