课程特点及介绍：
应用数学硕士—精算方向（MS in Applie Mathematics - Actuarial Sciences）：为期1.5年，共计修读32个学分，秋季学期和春季学期均可申请。要求申请者本科毕业，无需精算专业背景，但需通过精算考试（概率理论），未通过者需在第一学期补考。此外，学生还可攻读金融、经济学或其他与精算相关专业。申请者需满足数学、微积分、概率、统计学、计算机编程、经济学或金融等前置课程。该项目以授课内容为主，毕业生可选择精算方面的职业。一般无奖学金授予，学生需自费攻读；暑期会根据情况安排少数学生做助教，对象一般以本科生为主，学院提供少量的TA奖学金，涵盖全部的学费
A stuent may earn the egree by completing 32 creit hours of grauate stuy. At least 24 creit hours must be in Mathematics. Only courses at the 400- an 500-level courses can be counte towar a grauate egree (however, Math 405, 406, 408, 415, 444, 461, 463, an 499 cannot be counte towar the actuarial science Masters egree). The following courses (or their equivalents) are strongly recommene. If a stuent has passe an actuarial exam covering the subject matter of a course, that course nee not be taken. However, there is no Grauate College creit for passing actuarial examinations.
