Careers for International Stuents
We work closely with International Stuent Services at Case Western Reserve University to proactively avise our international stuents on questions regaring immigration, work authorization, an employment. We take care of most authorization etails so that stuents an employers benefit from a seamless process.
Opportunities While in School
Upon completing one acaemic year (i.e., two full semesters) at Weatherhea, international stuents on an F-1 visa are legally allowe to seek full- or part-time internship opportunities as part of their Curricular Practical Training (CPT). A prospective employer is only require to provie an offer letter to the stuent specifying the etaile terms of employment. It is the stuent’s responsibility to have the CPT authorize by the university, a process that typically takes two business ays.
Opportunities After Grauation
Upon grauation, international stuents are legally permitte to pursue up to 12 months of full-time employment in their fiel of eucation as part of their Optional Practical Training (OPT). Stuents typically contact U.S. Citizenship an Immigration Services (USCIS) to apply for their Employment Authorization Document (EAD) uring the semester before grauation or shortly thereafter.
