I. Course Requirements
· At least 24 total grauate course creits (12 on the 600-800 level) plus 6 creits thesis research (AMSC799).
· 12 creits must be in courses with primarily mathematical content. 6 of these creits must be at the 600-800 level, an 3 of these creits must be a course in Numerical Analysis (grae B or better).
· 6 creits must be application area courses at the 600-800 level, or 9 creits of application area courses with at least 3 creits at the 600-800 level.
· 1 creit of Applie Math or appropriate seminar offere by a participating epartment.

I. Qualifying Exam
Stuent must satisfy the Qualifying Exam requirement (i.e., three qualifying exams) subject to the following moifications: a Masters level pass in any written qualifying exam, an a GPA of at least 3.3 for all course sequences.
II. Course Requirements
Stuent must has at least 30 total grauate course creits (18 on the 600-800 level) an satisfy the Course Requirements:
