与中国的高考作文做对比，美国的“高考”作文考察的又是学生哪个方面的素质呢？今年Common Application 已经公布了文书题目，部分高校也有一些补充文书的题目，一起来对比看看有什么区别吧。
严格意义上说，美国没有高考，有的只是申请。有人把SAT考试等同于美国『高考』，把SAT作文题和国内高考作文题进行对比。用Common Application网申文书题目用作对比更恰当一些，毕竟SAT考试一年可以考好几次，而且SAT考试也只是申请的一部分。
美国『高考』题目：Common App 2018-2019文书题目：
【题目1】Some stuents have a backgroun, ientity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application woul be incomplete without it. If this souns like you, then please share your story.
有些学生有非同一般的背景、身份、兴趣或才能，这是他们不可缺少的一部分。如果你也有同感，请分享你的故事。
【题目2】The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be funamental to later success. Recount a time when you face a challenge, setback, or failure. How i it affect you, an what i you learn from the experience?

【题目4】Describe a problem you've solve or a problem you' like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical ilemma - anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you an what steps you took or coul be taken to ientify a solution.
描述一个你解决过或者打算解决的问题。这个问题可以是学术方面的、研究调查或者是道德伦理方面的——任何你认为对你个人而言很重要的问题，不论大小。说明它对你的意义和你解决问题的方法。
【题目5】Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparke a perio of personal growth an a new unerstaning of yourself or others.
描述让你成长或者让重新认识自己或他人的一个成就、事件、或者感悟。
【题目6】Describe a topic, iea, or concept you fin so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why oes it captivate you? What or who o you turn to when you want to learn more?
描述一个让沉迷其中，甚至忘记时间的话题、想法、理念。它哪里吸引你? 当你试图去了解更多的时候，你会求助于什么样的帮助？
【题目7】Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you've alreay written, one that respons to a ifferent prompt, or one of your own esign.
任选话题写一篇短文。它可以一篇是你过去所写的文章，文章题目不限，可以自创。
除了CA文书，不同的美国大学申请系统也会有不同的文书题目。比如如下的加州大学的其中三道；
Describe an example of your leaership experience in which you havepositively influence others, helpe resolve isputes, or contribute to groupefforts over time. 描述你的领导力经历，你是如何积极影响他人，帮助解决问题，在团队中有较长时间的贡献。
Every person has a creative sie, an it can be expresse in manyways: problem solving, original an innovative thinking, an artistically, toname a few. Describe how you express your creative sie. 展示你有创造力的一面，可以体现在方面：问题解决能力、创新思维、艺术创造等等。请描述你是如何展示你的创造力的。
Describe the most significant challenge you have face an the stepsyou have taken to overcome this challenge. How has this challenge affecte youracaemic achievement? 描述你遇到的最大挑战，必须采取措施克服这一挑战。你是如何战胜挑战的，这一挑战对你的学业有何积极影响。
当然，很多时候还有补充文书~几道往年的补充文书题目~
Barnar: "Pick one woman in history or fiction to converse with for an hour an explain your choice. What woul you talk about?"
巴纳德学院：从历史人物或小说人物中挑选一位你想与之对话的女人交谈一个小时。解析一下你为什么选她，你会和她谈些什么。

芝加哥大学：将Joan of Arkansas、Queen Elizabeth Cay Stanton、Babe Ruth Baer Ginsburg这三个人物揉碎混合创造出一个新的历史人物，运用一段新的时期，新的地点，或新的职业，并告诉我们他们的故事。
整体来说，相比国内高考作文题目，Common app的文书题目表述得很具象化，在部分设置上可以说是很有“创意”，紧紧围绕学生展开，意在突出学生自己的成长故事，经历、想法，很多题目可能需要一个更长时间和深度的思考。
国内作文高考题相对来说为了应试角度考虑，在题目设置方面相对描述会空泛些，给大家更多自己阐述的角度。不过整体可选择的题目少，可发挥的空间不算太大。
并且，相对于国内高考作文重视学生写作水平，美国大学设置文书的目的更倾向于看出一个学生的个性、背景，需要你讲好自己的故事，让招生官发现你，这才是个人陈述的主旨。
