耶鲁：也提到虽然他们收到的75%的申请者在学术上都是满足要求的，但是“the great majority of stuents who are amitte [are those who] stan out from the rest.”(被录取的绝大多数学生是能在人群中脱颖而出的)
普林斯顿： “It is our mission at Princeton to ensure that our community is as iverse an intellectually stimulating as possible.” (我们的任务是确保普林斯顿的学生群体尽可能保持多样化、能激发智力和思维的发展)

成绩并不能完全的使学校了解学生，所以从学校招生需求上，我们可以看出活动背景的重要性，如何凸显你是一个有创造力、富有生机、多样化的人呢？
校内活动：学校各类运动队、兴趣小组、校刊校报、学生会、音乐社团等。
社区活动：社区公共志愿者组织、社区运动队、社区音乐小组等。
实习：暑假打工、兼职、家教等。
志愿者服务：各类公益活动、爱心捐赠、筹善款、关爱孤寡老人等。
海外交流：国外暑期学校、模拟联合国、海外志愿者等。
