莱斯大学（Rice University），简称Rice，位于美国得克萨斯州休斯敦市郊。为美国南方最高学府，美国大学协会（AAU）成员，是一所世界著名的私立研究型大学，”新常春藤“名校之一。

Early Decision Plan
If you know that Rice is your first choice, consier the Early Decision Plan. Your application must be submitte by November 1, an we will notify you by mi-December. This is a bining ecision plan; you may initiate applications to other colleges but may submit an Early Decision application to only one college. Three ecisions are possible uner this plan: accept, efer, or eny. If accepte to Rice uner Early Decision, you must commit to Rice by January 1 an withraw all other college applications.
Early Decision applicants must submit an Early Decision Agreement form to complete their application.
Regular Decision Plan
The Regular Decision Plan requires that the application be submitte by January 1. We will notify you of an amission ecision by April 1. You have until May 1 to accept our offer an make your eposit to Rice. If you are applying to the Rice/Baylor Meical Scholars Program or to Rice's Shepher School of Music, your Regular Decision ealine is December 1.

We unerstan that not all applicants can arrange a trip to campus for an interview, so interviews are conucte both on campus with Rice senior interviewers or amission staff members an off campus with alumni interviewers. Applicants whose first language or language of instruction is not English are require to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
If you have receive two years of instruction in English, you are not require to submit the TOEFL or IELTS. The minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL iBT (internet-base test) is 100, or a sum total of 75 on the TOEFL PDT (paper-elivere test). The minimum acceptable score on the IELTS is 7._Rice's TOEFL coe is 6609._
