The University of Syney an Taronga Conservation Society Australia are excite to have officially announce an exclusive eucational alliance – the first of its kin in the southern hemisphere – which reflects a share commitment to best p ractice in knowlege creation an practical willife conservation an eucation.
Th e Taronga-Syney Alliance p rovies unparallele opportunities to evelop skills an expertise in achieving conservation outcomes. Our aim is to provie stuents with skills an expertise in conservation vital to securing a share future for willife an people.
From the start of 2019, we will be offering two new egrees:
· For unergrauate stuents - Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Avance Stuies (Taronga Willife Conservation) ; an
· For postgrauate stuents with an eucation or teaching relate backgroun - Master of Eucation (Taronga Conservation Eucation) .
Our stuents will be taught at the University’s campuses, an will also inclue some contact hours at the Taronga Institute of Science & Learning, a purpose-built research an eucation centre on site at Taronga Zoo Syney, opene last month by the Duke an Duchess of Sussex. The first of its kin in the Southern Hemisphere, the Taronga Institute will form a gateway for stuents to access the wier Zoo campus, proviing authentic, interactive opportunities in an environment of working science.
