莱斯特大学（University of Leicester）简称"莱大"，始建于1921年，是一所位于英国英格兰中部的公立综合性研究型大学，国际认可的米德兰兹创新联盟、江苏-英国高水平大学联盟成员。
莱斯特大学素以遗传学、天体物理与空间技术、传媒以及博物馆学等研究成果闻名世界。该校1966年建立的大众传媒研究中心CMCR(Centre for Mass Communication Research)是英国首个媒体传播研究的学术中心，同时也是英国第一所开设授课式传媒硕士课程的高校。 莱斯特大学商学院获得AACSB和AMBA双重认证 。
2008年莱斯特大学被英国泰晤士报评选为"2008年英国年度大学"，也是全英唯一一所连续七年获得泰晤士高等教育奖的大学 。2013年，莱斯特大学因其对查理三世遗骸的考古工作而获得女王周年纪念奖 。
