西北大学Master of Science in Data Science(MSDS)专业开设在School of Professional Studies下。MSDS会在2023秋开启第一届accelerated full-time的选项，国际生也可以申请。
一.项目简介
Accelerated full-time MSDS的学制是一年，只有秋季9月入学，次年夏季结束。这个项目主要培养学生的分析和领导能力，学生将学习如何使用关系、文档及图形数据库系统，和基于开源系统构建的分析软件如R、Python、Go，以及用于深度学习的 TensorFlow、Keras；还会学习如何使用传统统计和机器学习方法做出可信的预测。
项目2023年的学费预计是$14,715/quarter，4个季度总的学费就是$58,860，每年大概会有2.5%-3.5%的学费调整（当然是上调了）。接受offer时要交$1,000的押金。其他每个季度的费用大概为：技术费$130、服务费$250、健康保险费$260。
二.课程设置
Full-time MSDS要求完成12门课程，包括6门核心课、1门数据监管课程、4门分支必修课，和1个Capstone Project。五个分支分别是Analytics and Modeling、Artificial Intelligence、Data Engineering、Analytics Management、Technology Entrepreneurship。分支要在网申的时候就选择好。

西北MSDS的特点就是Python、R、Go这三个语言，学生会获得使用这三种语言的经验。Python是当前DS中最流行的计算机语言，它在自然语言处理和作为深度学习平台的客户端方面尤其强大。R包含许多用于分析和建模的包，受到应用统计人员的广泛认可，它是科学编程和应用研究的绝佳选择。Go是一种为当今多处理器计算机设计的系统编程语言，非常适合为数据科学实现可伸缩的高性能系统。
每个季度要学习三门课程，其中一门online，两门on-campus，上课时间为day和evening结合。
三.申请要求
申请此项目要求美国本科或同等学位，没有提到具体课程要求，但是申DS需要什么背景相信多数人也清楚，较强的数理背景和编程能力。
截止时间：full-time项目只有秋季入学，第一轮截止时间是2022-12-1，第二轮是2023-1-15。一般是截止时间后的4-6周出结果。

Transcripts，非美本成绩单需要做成绩认证，SPS学院推荐做ECE或EP认证，但是这种认证的结果大概率会变低
语言要求：
Proof of English proficiency is a School of Professional Studies admission requirement for international applicants.
International applicants can provide proof of English Proficiency by submitting one of the following:
Provide an official transcript demonstrating a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university.
Provide an official course-by-course evaluation where the language of instruction is indicated as English.
Provide official scores for either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam and achieved the required score (official scores must be provided)
