1. NHS ： National Honor Society 全美荣誉学会
美国一个全国性的高中社团，意在表彰在学业成绩、领导才能、社区服务及道德品质均有突出表现的 11~12 年级学生。

根据该协会的创办宣言，所有的 NHS 分会都应该坚持以下宗旨：
- 鼓励学生的学习热情
- 激发学生服务社会的意愿

- 促进青少年学生形成优秀的道德品质
这些宗旨也是该协会决定成员资格标准的依据。因此入选的学生必须在 学业成绩 、 领导才能 、 社区服务 及 品德 等各方面都全面发展，表现出众。 各地的分会组织首先依据学生的在校成绩挑选候选人，并对这些成绩优秀的学生进行一系列各方面的考察和筛选，最后由分会的一个五人教师议团投票决定是否入选。
2. YYGS: 耶鲁大学开设的耶鲁全球青年学者暑期项目
致力于为精英的高中生培养跨学科的应用能力，国际意识及成为课堂内外领袖的思辨能力及交际能力。其目的是通过建立一个全球化的社区寻找下一代领导者，要求学生有强烈的求知欲、深入的理解力和冲破所有界限的创造力。

◆ 课程设置 ◆
每个 session 上午都有讲座和群组讨论、中午有 special meal 活动，下午是研讨会、然后是 family time, 晚上有 Capstone Project.
通常，上午从 9 点钟开始，有大约 1 个半小时的讲座，大约每期都有 10 个讲座，覆盖了这期项目中的不同主题。例如 Applie Science & Engineering 会讲到新能源，细胞组织工程、天文、纳米技术、量子物理、心理学等。 所有的讲座均由耶鲁本校的教授进行讲解。在这里，教授们不仅仅传授知识，他们更擅长于解释抽象的概念以及激发大家的求知欲。很多教授也会用充满趣味的方式进行讲座。比如一位物理动力学教授，利用电影动作片中的飞车镜头来进行物理分析。
讲座之后，是 1 个小时的群组讨论时间，像 PLE 政治法律经济类的项目，讨论很快就会变得热火朝天。而对于理工类的讨论，一般会分成几个小组先进行头脑风暴挖掘问题。比如在一个寻找外太空星球的讲座中，学生们讨论到了占领火星的经济可行性。在生物工程讲座中，讨论了胚胎研究的伦理问题。由于学生来自世界各地，文化背景不同，他们可以彼此分享自己独特的观点。
在 YYGS ，每天中午均有一个 Special Meal 的活动可以报名，学校在报名者中随机选择 10 个学生和嘉宾共进午餐。这些嘉宾一般是上午讲课的教授，也有可能是已经在耶鲁就读的学生。午餐期间嘉宾们会与大家分享一些职业经历或者帮助大家解答上午课程中存在的疑问。
下午 1:30 到 2:30 的研讨会由耶鲁的在校生主持。每个人可以选择自己喜欢的 seminar 主题。
family time 是 10-15 个人组成一个小家庭，由一个耶鲁的学生带领，会定期组织聚会，比如晚上出去吃披萨，吃雪糕。甚至还可以去楼顶聊天看星星。
晚饭之后的 Capstone 项目是在两周的时间内，五个人一组完成一个项目，并且在最后一天完成一个 20 分钟的演讲汇报。理科的项目通常是一个研究，而文科类，比如 PLE 政治法律经济，一般是以模拟法庭的形式完成。每天晚上 12 点之前要上交当天需要完成的任务。这个活动非常有意义，很多学生在活动结束后还会继续跟进手头的项目，依然继续与组员共同研讨项目课题。
