背景分析
学生优势：本科为金融和经济学专业，并且辅修了应用统计，数理背景不错；GPA保持的很好；加拿大海外留学背景；学生活动比较丰富，凸显学生的软性技能，比如沟通，协作和领导力。
学生劣势：GRE成绩不是特别突出
文书思路
学生申请两个专业：金融和经济学。
金融主要是特定题目，所以根据题目要求针对性进行了essay的写作，以自己的学习和实习经历为基础，明确点出感兴趣的方向-风险管理，同时制定相应的职业目标。除了专业相关的内容，在JHU第二篇文书里，我们使用了学生支教的经历，考虑到JHU强调对社会的贡献以及humanity这个点，所以觉得这个事例可以很好的贴合学校的理念。最终也拿到了JHU的offer。
经济学的PS，开头简单提及了自己起初是如何对经济学产生兴趣的，然后结合自己本科学习的经历，突出自己对行为经济学这方面的兴趣，同时介绍自己掌握的相关理论知识和实践技能。这部分，主要提及了自己的实验室经历。
之后介绍了两段实习经历，主要突出学生对不同行业的一个认识以及数据和资料的分析能力。
最后由于学生以后的就业方向是金融咨询领域，所以在写职业目标之前简单总结了一下自己对经济形势，政策对金融行业的影响，以及二者的相互关系。这样让职业目标显得不会很突兀。最后介绍了为什么cornell的项目适合自己。
申请总结
学生由于是海外留学背景，所以没有准备语言考试。GRE成绩不是特别优秀，但是因为学生学术背景和实习经历相对来说比较有优势，配合度很高，递交的也比较早，所以整体取得了不错的申请结果。
